| Just so you know, there is a hidden amount that the player will accept. I forgot to mention this earlier.
But, let's say you bid 2 years @ 3M for a stud...Well, he may want 3 years @ 6M.
So, there ya have it.

FA Period 2 will only last 2 days, and FA Period 3 will only last 2 days. | |

Each FA Period, players will seek less and less money.
Example:
Player A wants a 4 year, 8M per year contract in Period 1.
In Period 2, he will ask for 3-4 years @ 5.5M-6M per year.
In Period 3, he will accept half of what he was originally asking, but it will just be a 1 year contract. | |
