Anyone have any idea on how to do this?

I am thinking...

Type A FA = 90+ Overall
Type B FA = 86-89 Overall
Type C FA = 84-85 Overall

Type A requires a 1st round draft pick + 10M cash.
Type B requires your highest draft pick that is not a 1st rounder + 7M cash.
Type C requires your highest draft pick that is not a 1st round draft pick +3M cash...

If a player is over 30 years of age then that diminishes his value by one Type. So if a Type A (90+ overall) is 31 years old, then he will be considered a Type B.

What does everything think? I don't like this system too much, so improvements would be very welcomed!

Lol.

What I mean is...

When a team signs a player that is 90+ overall, the team has to give that player's former team a draft pick.

Here, this should help out a LOT!

ahhh ok.

this greatly helps small teams. by being unable 2 re-sign expensive players that 90 overall they get some great compensation.

its a great idea.

I think this'll help some of the small market teams stay competitive. You are still going to have teams who will buy some talent, but by giving up a draft choice in exchange it gives the team that lost the all star a chance to hopefully get a quality prospect in exchange. I'm for it. (Of course I would be. As a small market GM javascript:emoticonp('Wink')
